I heard it. Consumer investigator Brian Roach has some answers. We first told you about this letter when it first went out about a month ago, and now another letter has been sent to even more victims of what could be one of the largest medical records breaches in history. It has been delivered. This is a letter from Change Healthcare, one of the world's largest healthcare payment processing companies. The company handles medical billing, and frankly, you've probably never heard of it. But your clinic certainly does. If you receive one of these letters, a letter with your full name will be delivered to your home address. You can see that the following information about you may have been accessed: Health insurance data, such as policy numbers, medical records, test results, and images. Claim. Insurance claims and payment data. Social Security Number and Driver License Data. This 6 page letter is real and legal. Guys, it's not a scam. Change Healthcare is offering two years of free credit monitoring and identity theft protection, and its offer is outlined in its letter.
