Kelly Davis is a registered nurse and owner of two adult family homes. Her business partner, Savannah Knowlton, has a degree in Social Science from Washington State University and serves as the Resident Manager for the adult family homes.
Davis and Knowlton said they value family, exploring the beauty of the county, staying active and providing the highest standard of care for their clients.
“Working in the senior housing field, we saw an unmet need in our community. It was heartbreaking to hear stories of senior housing facilities being full and turning away families, leaving people with urgent needs but limited options. We wanted to be part of the solution in our community,” Knowlton said.
After doing a lot of research, Knowlton and Davis decided to partner up to create Welcome Home Care LLC, a non-medical home care agency.
According to Home Health Care News, for the past 20 years, the home care industry has predicted that the home will be the center of healthcare of the future. Aged care services will help reduce hospitalization and institutionalization rates for the elderly.
“Our goal is to be the aged care provider of choice, providing care for those who want to age in the comfort of their own home, those who need support until they can be admitted to a facility of their choice, or until they are discharged from hospital,” Mr Knowlton said.
Knowlton said local families want quality, immediate solutions for their loved ones.
