These expenses can be overwhelming.Through the Fund, HealthWell can help ease this burden so that families can focus on caring for their loved ones.”
“More than 2 million new cancer cases are predicted for the first time in 2024, which equates to approximately 5,500 cancer diagnoses per day. The resulting economic fallout is well-documented. When cancer occurs, a person can easily go into debt,” he said. Arif KamalChief Patient Officer, American Cancer Society; “At the American Cancer Society, we believe no one should have to worry about missing out on paying for cancer treatment or receiving life-saving treatment because they face financial barriers. We applaud HealthWell for launching this initiative to fund home care services and durable medical equipment so more people can focus on their health and daily life in a familiar environment. This sense of security and normalcy can be invaluable during cancer treatment.”
