NEW YORK, Nov. 24, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Bruger Egel & Squire PC, a nationally recognized shareholder rights law firm, has filed a class action against Acadia Healthcare Company, Inc. (“Acadia Healthcare”). announced that a lawsuit had been filed. or the “Company”) (NASDAQ: ACHC) in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee on behalf of all persons and entities who have purchased or otherwise purchased. I acquired Acadia Healthcare securities between February 28, 2020 and September 26, 2024 (inclusive) (the “Study Period”). Investors have until December 16, 2024 to apply to the court to be appointed as lead plaintiff in the lawsuit.

According to the complaint, throughout the Class Period, Defendants made false and/or misleading statements and/or failed to disclose that: (1) Acadia Healthcare's business model favors vulnerable populations; The emphasis was on holding people in institutions against their will. There is no medical need to do so. (2) Many patients suffered abuse while at Acadia Medical Facility. (3) Acadia Healthcare deceived insurance companies into paying for patient stays at its facilities that were not medically necessary; and (4) as a result, Defendants' statements about its business, operations, and prospects were materially false and misleading and/or lacked a reasonable basis at all relevant times. When the true details entered the market, the lawsuit claims investors suffered damages.
