Most obituaries published in the Reading Eagle are submitted through funeral homes and crematoriums, but submissions from families are also accepted. Obituaries can be emailed to obituaries@readingeagle.com.
In addition to the obituary text, you can also attach any photos you wish to include in this email. The obituary text can be in a Word document, Google document, or in the body of the email. Reading Eagle also requires some form of proof of death, so please include the phone number of the funeral home or crematorium responsible for the care of the deceased, or a photo of the death certificate. Please also include your full name, phone number, and address in the email.
All payments by family members must be made by credit card. A proof of the completed obituary will be sent to you before payment is requested, however, the obituary will not be published until full payment has been received.
Obituaries may be submitted for a future date, but must be received by 3pm the day before the posting date in order to be published.
