New Jersey-based nutritional supplement supplier The Vitamin Shoppe announced it has partnered with Marius Pharmaceuticals to expand its recently launched Whole Health Rx telehealth service offerings to provide Kyzatrex CII capsules to men with low or no testosterone levels.
Whole Health Rx allows users to receive an online medical assessment and access guidance on GLP-1, nutritional support, educational resources and lifestyle practices.
The platform is powered by WellSync, which customizes the virtual care platform to fit a company’s needs.
FDA-approved Kyzatrex CII capsules are an oral testosterone replacement therapy aimed at helping men with certain medical conditions reach their desired testosterone levels, and the partnership allows Whole Health Rx patients to receive prescriptions for the FDA-approved medication.
“Men’s health and testosterone support are growing areas of interest among our customers, so we’re especially pleased to be able to offer our highly effective, easy-to-use Kyzatrex prescription to Whole Health Rx patients who could benefit from TRT (total replacement therapy),” Lee Wright, CEO of The Vitamin Shoppe, said in a statement.
“Our mission is to build on WellSync’s innovative telehealth platform and strategic partnerships with our network of medical and pharmacy experts to grow Whole Health Rx into a full-service healthcare solutions provider that can better serve our customers’ health needs. As pioneers in the wellness space since 1977, The Vitamin Shoppe is uniquely positioned to combine pharmaceutical interventions like TRT with our unmatched expertise in nutritional support and whole-body wellness.”
Larger trends
Vitamin Shoppe launched a telehealth service, initially focused on connecting users with healthcare providers to help them access GLP-1 medications for weight management.
Another digital health company offering low testosterone therapy to men is Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drug Company (MCCPDC).
Last year, MCCPDC announced a partnership with male infertility and sexual health care company Posterity Health to provide men with medications to treat male infertility, sexual dysfunction and low testosterone.
Posterity Health is a digital male infertility clinic that provides access to reproductive urologists who diagnose and treat sexual health and male infertility. The company offers sperm cryopreservation, in-clinic or at-home infertility testing, vasectomies, and vasectomy reversals.
