Excellent Home Care recently announced that it had experienced a data breach in which sensitive personally identifiable information and protected health information in its care may have been compromised. According to a press release, on November 25, 2025, Excellent Home Care discovered that an employee's email account had been accessed by an unauthorized third party for a short period of time. 1 As a result, Excellent Home Care launched an investigation to determine the nature of the incident.
Through our investigation, Excellent Home Care has determined that sensitive personal information within the emails may have been accessed by an unauthorized third party during the breach. As a result, Excellent Home Care has initiated a review of the data to determine the affected information and identify the specific individuals affected. Although the information affected will vary from person to person, the types of information that may be exposed include:
Name Social Security Number Address Phone Number Date of Birth Gender Medicare/Medicaid Number Medical Information (Diagnosis, Medication, Care Plan Documentation)
