Steve Gleason returned home Tuesday night after spending six days in hospital following a medical incident last week.

Gleason posted a photo on social media of himself with his wife Michelle and their children Rivers and Gray at their Lake Vista home, writing, “After six days of being stuck at home, being greeted by a full moon, Oaks and family… feels new.”

Gleason was hospitalized on his doctor’s recommendation. On September 11, he developed a high fever and low blood pressure and was transported to Ochsner Medical Center by personnel from New Orleans Emergency Medical Services and the New Orleans Fire Department during Category 2 Hurricane Francine, which caused widespread flooding and power outages in the New Orleans area.
