NEW ORLEANS — Saints legend Steve Gleason is back home after spending nearly a week in the hospital.
He was admitted to Oschner Medical Center last week after suffering from fever and low blood pressure during Hurricane Francine, the release said.
Gleeson posted on social media on Tuesday night with a photo of herself with her family, saying she felt “reborn.”
“After 6 days stuck at home, being greeted by a full moon, the Oaks and family… feels renewed,” Gleason tweeted.
Gleason, who is immortalized in bronze statue for his famous blocked punt against the Atlanta Falcons in the Saints’ first game back at the Superdome after Hurricane Katrina, played in New Orleans from 2000-06.
The Congressional Gold Medal recipient was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in 2011.
