OREGON, November 7, 2024 – Oregon’s wine community is set to host its highly anticipated “Salud!” The Oregon Pinot Noir Auction is a two-day event celebrating the region's world-class Pinot Noir while raising critical funds for medical services benefiting vineyard managers and their families. This year's auction marks a significant milestone in Salud!'s 33-year commitment to providing accessible healthcare and removing barriers to Oregon's wine industry's essential workforce.

Since 1992, Salud! has been at the forefront of providing accessible and affordable healthcare services to vineyard workers. The program's mission includes:
• Providing free medical care directly to the vineyard.
• Providing bilingual, bicultural support and follow-up care.
• Preventing and eliminating medical debt
• Providing health education and system navigation assistance.
“My Journey with Salud!” I was very happy. It has been one of my greatest honors to provide medical care, collaborate with, and learn from vineyard managers for over 25 years. It is no exaggeration to say that I will be lonely. So, one last time, I have to say it loud and proud – SALUD! For your health! ” said Leda Garside, RN, BSN, MBA. He is the service manager and culture officer for Hillsboro Medical Center, an OHSU partner, and plans to retire this year.

Salud!'s success stems from an unprecedented collaboration between winemakers and doctors. This progressive approach allows the program to reach vineyard managers directly on the ground and provide critical services not otherwise available. For every $1 invested, Salud! provides $3 worth of care, demonstrating the program's efficiency and effectiveness.

At this event, Grace Evenstad of Domaine Celine will be presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of her philanthropy and significant impact on the Oregon wine community.
