WPBF 25 News spoke to Shannon Hawkins outside court on Tuesday.
She said she believes there is more to the story of William Hawkins' ex-girlfriend being ignored by the prosecutors while deliberately recording his brother's confession.
Shannon Hawkins says her brother is being used and she believes he killed Morell, but she believes he was not in his righteous heart during the crime.
The defense tried to suppress the record from the evidence at the trial, but the motion was denied by the judge.
“They used me to get what they wanted. They didn't want every story. Confessions, they didn't want the whole story behind it. All they want is a bit of something,” Hawkins said.
This exam will continue throughout the rest of the week.
