Liberal commentator Brianna Joy Gray surprised British journalist Piers Morgan and a guest on his show by admitting she has no sympathy for murdered United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
On Tuesday's “Piers Morgan Uncensored” segment, the host asked critics whether they sympathized with Thompson, who died last week after being shot in the back by an assassin waiting outside a Manhattan hotel. Ta.
“Yes. So, just to be clear, you had no sympathy for him after he was executed, did you?” asked Morgan.
“I personally don't,” Gray admitted in a controversial moment reported by the Daily Caller.

When Mr. Gray began talking about the “dissatisfaction” Americans feel with powerful health care companies and executives like Mr. Thompson, he prompted Mr. Morgan to ask a direct question.
Gray named the suspected assassin, 26-year-old Ivy League graduate Luigi Mangione, and said, “Luigi is just a vessel for people to express their deep dissatisfaction with the American health care system.''
She continued, “So the question is, if you don't want murders like this to happen, if you don't want assassinations like this to happen in the streets, then I don't believe in the death penalty, In each case, some kind of vigilante violence is being perpetrated…We must explore the roots of why there is such a deep well of tragedy, despair, and anger in the United States. Must be. โ
Morgan suspected that Gray's statements were evidence of callousness toward the murdered man, and asked, “But just to be sure…do you have any sympathy for Brian Thompson and his family?”
The guest balked slightly, saying it was more about his work than personal matters.

“In my personal capacity, I have infinite empathy for any individual. In his role as CEO of United Healthcare, unfortunately I also believe that the vast majority of Americans, bipartisan I think it's the same as the majority. I want to empathize with people who are in a more vulnerable position.”
Morgan asked her the same question again. That led her to openly admit that she had no empathy for the deceased CEO.
“That's right. Okay, well, at least you're being honest,” the host replied.
He then offered some commentary, pointing to Gray's ideas as evidence that liberals are hypocrites in appealing to empathy.
“I mean, I think this is surprising. Remember, the left is supposed to be the party that cares that much,” Morgan said. “They all have a hashtag that says 'be kind.' They're caring, kind people, but they can't say in their hearts that they have an ounce of empathy for the man who was just executed. Who is the father of the child and the husband of the beloved wife?โ
Culture of life? The murder of United Healthcare CEO is ridiculed and praised by the far left
Morgan had a similar exchange earlier this week with former Washington Post reporter Taylor Lorenz.
“I believe in the sanctity of life, and unfortunately, I think that's why I felt joy, like so many other Americans,” Ms. Lorenz told Piers on Monday's episode, adding that Thompson He spoke about his feelings about his death.
She immediately responded with the word “joy,” but the host jumped in and asked. Are you happy? โ
“So are the tens of thousands of Americans he murdered!” she shot back. “So are the tens of thousands of innocent Americans who have died because greedy health care executives like this one pushed for policies that denied care to our most vulnerable people.”
