KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A new joint program between two Kansas City educational institutions aims to quickly get more healthcare workers into the field.
Rockhurst University has announced that a new partnership with KCU will begin in fall 2025, with up to 40 students expected to be selected for the new ROKC-EAP program.
Program directors said 25 students will commit to the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program, 10 to the Doctor of Dental Medicine program and five to the Master of Health Sciences – Anesthesiologist Assistant program.
University leaders said the students will begin their undergraduate studies at Luckhurst and will move on to KCU's graduate program once they complete their degrees.
Educators noted that the partnership aims to increase the number of qualified health professionals in the region and provide clear pathways to their careers. The program is also expected to strengthen collaboration between the two institutions.
Leaders from both universities will outline how the new pathway will meet the growing demand for healthcare leaders, offering students a streamlined and faster route into their careers.
