WACO, Texas (KWTX) – Waco Family Medicine held a grand opening of its newest facility. This centralizes the organization's services in one place and adds new opportunities for patients.
The building began operations in June. Waco Family Medicine said the building was completed in November. They held a ribbon cutting on Saturday.
The new facility brings new opportunities for patients.
“We know that the structure of nonprofit organizations, community-based organizations, and social service agencies is essential to the overall prosperity of our communities,” said Dr. Jackson Griggs, CEO of Waco Family Medicine. ” “So when we built this building, we thought, 'Why not invite these partners to set up space in our building?'”
The facility also added a local fitness center where patients can work out one-on-one with trainers and a cooking center where patients can learn to cook.
Dr. Mike Hardin was one of the founders of the new facility. He said the goal is to consolidate all services offered by Waco Family Medicine in one place for ease of use.
“Medicine is a team sport,” Dr. Hardin said. It's not just doctors and patients. But there is a whole team of health care providers helping patients. ”
