Yesterday, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines welcomed a panel of Dutch technical experts (Digital United Training Concept for Healthcare) to its Schiphol East simulator center. Panelists were able to participate in the tour and experience flight simulation for themselves. By sharing its knowledge in simulation training, KLM aims to support the development of the medical field and contribute to the availability of well-trained medical personnel in the Netherlands.
The medical industry needs many new professionals. Training is now completely hands-on. Simulation can help educate healthcare professionals more effectively and efficiently. DUTCH is a program supported by the National Growth Fund that focuses on innovations in the way health professionals are trained. This is in collaboration with hospitals, educational institutions and the business community, including Erasmus MC and the Ministry of Defence.
