Joyce E. Pugsley, 74, passed away on March 18, 2025 at Cobacker House, Columbus, Ohio. Joyce was born in Lima on March 28, 1950 to the late Leonard and Janice (Smith) Crowsing. On January 29, 1972, she married David Pugsley, who died on December 30, 2017.

Joyce worked as a certified nursing assistant in Cridarville, Lima (Lima and Otterbyne). She also worked as a private home nurse at Chase Bank. Joyce attended the Gods' meeting at the Calvary Temple. She was active at the Lima Garden Club and the Town and Country Quilt Club. Joyce and her husband enjoyed fishing on Indian Lake and being outdoors. She was also a fan of watching the Columbus Blue Jacket, the Ohio State Buckeyes and NASCAR.

Survivors include three sons, Ret. MSG. James L. (Julia) Pugsley of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Christopher M. (Rachel) Pugsley of Lima, Todd (Randy) Pugsley of Columbus, Ohio. five grandchildren, Dylan (Amanda) Pugsley of Fountain, Colorado, Ariel Pugsley of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Leilani Pugsley (Ragoo) Casturi of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and six great grandchildren of Steel of Elliobs, Ohio and Columbus, Ohio; James, Georgia, Luna, Sid, Leo and Caspian; two sisters, Teresa Kreutzer of San Diego, California, and Dodi (Todd) Whittington of Ora, Louisiana; brother-in-law, Bill (Yolanda) Ogle, junior of Ramona, California, and sister-in-law Terry Cruz of Poway, California;

Joyce was preceded in death by his son, Christian J. Pugsley. brothers, Michael Kraussing and sister Mary Sinif;

Services will begin on Friday, March 28th, 2025 at 1pm at Chile Raman Funeral & Cremation Service. Burial will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 28th, 2025 from 11am to 1pm at the Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, commemorative donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
