Jackson Walker partner Jeffrey H. Frost will be taking part in a panel discussion addressing key issues of workplace violence prevention in the healthcare industry. This session provides a comprehensive overview of the current landscape, including a survey of both federal and state regulations. Participants will gain valuable insight into best practices for reducing risk and developing effective workplace violence prevention programs tailored to healthcare settings. Jeff will be joined by fellow panelists Drew Neckar, CPP (Sekal), and Alka Ramchandani Raj (Rittler Mendelsson).

The CLE course covers the following important questions:

Prevalence of workplace violence: An analysis of data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics highlights a higher incidence of workplace violence in healthcare compared to other industries. Federal guidelines and proposed rules: OSHA guidance and discussion of expected federal regulations regarding preventing workplace violence in health care. State Law: Investigation of various state laws. Industry Standards: An overview of hospitals certified for the Joint Committee's revised Standard for preventing workplace violence. Best Practice: Strategies to assist healthcare clients in the development and implementation of workplace violence prevention programs.

Meet Jeff

Jeffrey H. Frost draws more than 20 years of experience as an in-house lawyer to advise clients on healthcare regulatory issues, hospital operations, and medical staff issues. As a former Vice-General Advisor for Northern California's Integrated Health Network, Jeff's experience includes advice to medical staff, medical groups and hospitals. Due to government investigations, fraud, abuse claims, agency complaints and medical staff hearings.
