New York State Senate lawmakers will hold a Senate hearing on July 9th to look at the rise in issues related to the overhaul of the state's $9 billion home care program, according to a recent legislative update. The transition ordered by Gov. Kathy Hochul eliminated more than 600 intermediaries, causing payroll issues, loss of care and bid claims. Senators Gustavo Rivera and James Scorfes will lead the investigation and say the hearing will guide future laws. Some issues have been alleviated, but many workers remain unpaid.
