“We saw it used almost immediately in an area that we didn't expect,” says Mattson. “For example, one researcher working at Biobank had gone through thousands of prompts. They have saved pathology samples and reports for research purposes. The researcher used AI to quantify and understand these reports that have been manually done over time in the past.”

Another use case revolves around behavioral health. When patients leave the hospital or other medical facility, there are some things they have to do to properly heal. “It's all important to know the triggers that manage symptoms and keep an eye on them,” says Chopra. “AI allows you to create care plans in the form of a short, individual instruction booklet detailing everything you need to know.”
Today, Emplify Health's AI model has nearly 1,700 users, and Chopra and Mattson plan to invest in marketing more widely across the organization. “Now, people use it and understand its power, so they want to do it faster or come to us to add more capabilities to the ecosystem,” says Chopra. Pairs are always asked to create new playgrounds, allowing you to experiment without interrupting daily operations.
