3. Improve the skills of digital health developers through immersive workshops
We have conducted multiple OHS workshops around the world with hundreds of developers. For one, we collaborated with Kabarak University in Kenya to run a bootcamp for IT students and budding innovators to learn the key concepts and tools needed to build digital health applications. Additionally, in India, we conducted a developer-focused workshop at the country's largest digital health conference, providing hands-on coding and building sessions on OHS components.
4. Exploring new AI capabilities
OHS provides the basic technical infrastructure for digital health solutions, but AI-based capabilities also have potential for developers. Google already offers Health AI Developer Foundations, a suite of open weight models to help developers more easily build AI models for healthcare applications. The OHS team is working further with the developer community to understand their needs, with the goal of creating an infrastructure that will make it easy to build AI-powered solutions in the near future.
5. Fostering the OHS community
Based on feedback from our active global community about developer requirements, we've introduced new technical features to OHS to help developers build faster and more securely. We also recently launched resources such as an educational video series to help developers easily get started building with OHS. OHS has been a community effort since its inception, and we are pleased to recognize the contributions of the many developers who continue to make it a success.
