New leadership role strengthens company's commitment to safety, quality and clinical innovation
chicago, December 11, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Help at Home, the nation's leading provider of relationship-based, person-centered home care, today announced the appointment of Ann Wells, MD, as the company's first Chief Medical Safety Officer. This new role reflects Help at Home's continued commitment to driving quality, safety and clinical innovation across our care delivery models.
“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Wells to our home as we continue to offer a more holistic model of care for the future,” said CEO Chris Josevar. “She brings a track record of driving innovation, improving quality, and advancing value-based care. Her leadership will play a critical role in advancing clinical excellence, strengthening compliance, and supporting our mission to provide safe, high-quality, safety-focused home care.”
A board-certified internal medicine physician, Dr. Wells has over 25 years of clinical and leadership experience. Prior to joining Help at Home, he served as Chief Quality and Population Health Officer at InnovAge, the nation's largest provider of PACE (Program of Comprehensive Care for the Elderly), where he led efforts to improve outcomes, increase efficiency, and enhance the patient and caregiver experience.
Previously, Dr. Wells served as Executive Director of Population Health at Colorado Permanente Medical Group, where she led efforts to improve the standard of care for Kaiser Permanente members across the state. She served honorably in the United States Air Force early in her career, earning the rank of Major. She received her MD from the University of Virginia School of Medicine and her BA in Biology from Brown University.
“My grandparents moved into our family home when they could no longer take care of themselves,” Dr. Wells said. “At a young age, I witnessed their desire to live with their families and maintain their independence. I am honored to join a company whose mission is to help people stay healthy, independent, and at home with their loved ones.”
For 50 years, Help at Home has provided relationship-based care designed to help older adults and individuals with complex needs live safely and independently in their own homes. Dr. Wells' appointment further strengthens our commitment to driving quality, safety and innovation across our business.
