The Lansing Regional Chamber held its annual “Future of Healthcare Luncheon” in the Lansing area on Oct. 10 as part of the monthly Lansing Economic Club events. The event featured a panel discussion moderated by MHA CEO Brian Peters that explored the current state of health care and the future of care in the Lansing area.
The panel of local medical experts included Kirk Ray, president and CEO of McLaren Greater Lansing; Dr. Margaret Dimond, University of Michigan Health Community Network Chair; Norm Hubbard, MS Health Sciences Senior Vice President, and Travis Souza, Michigan Health Department Deputy Chief Strategy Officer.
Panelists covered important topics such as mental and behavioral health, health workforce development and career paths, technology, and the value of partnerships.
The Lansing Regional Chamber's Economic Club events bring together hundreds of the region's most influential community, business and education leaders each month. This was a great opportunity for MHA and its regional member hospital leaders to shine a spotlight on the business community on all the opportunities and challenges facing the healthcare sector.
