Wilmington, Delaware, October 8, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — DuPont (NYSE: DD) announced the winners of its global awards program, the Tyvek® Sustainable Healthcare Packaging Awards, at the DuPont Medical Packaging Conference (MPC), October 6-8, 2025. This annual awards program recognizes healthcare industry leaders who embrace and promote sustainability throughout the packaging lifecycle.
The three 2025 winners are companies whose healthcare packaging is made with DuPont™ Tyvek® material and whose efforts are focused on sustainability.
Packaging (re)design: Evercare
Evercare has developed Endurance R50 film, a medical-grade packaging solution that incorporates up to 50% of advanced post-consumer recycling technology from sister company Selenis, while maintaining the performance and safety of virgin materials. When combined with Tyvek® lids, the film provides excellent thermoforming, sealing, and sterilization resistance. This innovation will help reduce reliance on virgin fossil fuel-based plastics, reduce carbon emissions and support the healthcare industry's move towards circularity.
Operational efficiency: Amcor
Amcor has developed ACT2100™, a next-generation Tyvek® heat-seal coating that provides a 25% stronger seal and 50% better breathability than comparable products. These advances enable faster, more reliable sterilization cycles and improve packaging integrity under harsh conditions. With consistent application and fiber-free release, ACT2100™ improves user experience, reduces manufacturing risk, and ensures supply chain reliability across multiple global sites.
Introducing Sustainability: B. Braun Medical, Inc.
B. Braun has redesigned its local anesthesia and procedure tray packaging to significantly reduce plastic and paper usage. By pairing Amcor's Sure Foam With super formed film Tyvek® 1059B roll stocka new sterile barrier system will reduce 64 tons of plastic and 4,400 pounds of paper annually. The changes will also reduce CO₂e emissions by 198 tons each year, make it easier to recycle packaging in hospitals, and advance B. Braun's global commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2030.

This program is aimed at medical device and/or pharmaceutical manufacturers, sterile packaging manufacturers, healthcare facilities, universities, material recovery facilities, or other healthcare companies focused on sustainable packaging using DuPont™ Tyvek® materials. The next application period is scheduled to begin in May 2026.
