Don't blindly make nursing home decisions. It's important to see all options

Region – That's probably the biggest decision: Is it time for the nursing home? And if so, which one?

The team at Damian Dell'anno and View All Options believe this very important decision should not be made in a vacuum. The focus of all options is to help people do just that. The company helps people see their choices, arm them with information, and make data more accessible – when it's time to make the choice, people are knowledgeable and informed.

“In that situation, you are trying to give residents or families the ability to see all the options in that situation. In the nursing home selection process, some of the facilities shown to them may be shown in a biased manner, or you could show what the potential options for the group are.

Viewing all options empowers people when choosing a nursing home by providing information that allows for informed choices.

Deluanno, a former nursing home manager, is well aware of the ugly side of the industry. He saw people rushing out of the hospital and sometimes only 48 hours were given to choose a facility they might stay for the rest of their lives. In his facility, people will not think about their future home. There was no opportunity to gather insights or to tour on-site.

I didn't sit well with Dell'anno. At about the same time, he used the internet to shop at his apartment.

“And I thought it would be very beneficial if there was a platform like Apartments.com that allowed people to go and see the facilities and filter them based on insurance, clinical capabilities, the amenities they are looking for, and the distance they are from their home,” Dell'anno said. “If you do that, people won't rely on the list offered at hospitals.”

All options are in the business of educating people. But really, it empowers people.

All properties listed in all options have at least eight professional photos that offer genuine and viable ideas such as amenities, rooms, lobby, activity areas, and patios. The list is detailed, insightful, and most importantly, searchable. What options are available? What are the best facilities near your home? Where do you thrive?

There are all answers to show all options.

“No one wants to go to a nursing home. No one wants to put someone they love in a nursing home, and the whole process can be very busy and daunting. Having the ability and confidence to look at information and make choices can help make the process a little easier, making it a more traumatic experience.

“Together with us, people have a trusted, detailed understanding of their options. They have the power to make those decisions.”
