Doctors, five nursing home staff raised for trafficking of child hosts

Doctors and five other people related to private nursing homes in the Madhyaon area have been found to be part of a child trafficking racket, police said in a statement.

All the accused, three of them, were women, and were caught near Shankarpurdar on Tuesday while trying to escape from the joint teams of police and crime department, police added that the newborn was rescued during the surgery.

“The action came after the gang revealed that a stab wound surgery had 'selled' the boy's child. £5 Lark and Girls' Kids £3 lakh,” read the police statement.

Police were investigating how long the accused ran rackets and their criminal history in other districts as well.

Police have identified the accused as Dr. Altaf, 33. Vinod Singh, 44, Contractor and Kaerteker. Neeraj Kumar Gautam, 24 years old, Clinic Comparer. Kusum Devi, 45; Santosh Kumari, 32 (both worked as patient assistants at the facility) and Sharma Devi, 50; Police said the accused was booked under sections 143(4) (person trafficking) and 61(2) (criminal conspiracy).

Police began investigating the lawsuit on February 24th. Their investigation confirmed that the accused were involved in neonatal trafficking. On Tuesday, they overturned that some of the accused were trying to escape Madhyaon and caught the latter near Shankarpur Dal. “The police immediately took action and arrested three men and three women from the scene. Two mobile phones and £1,250 people were also recovered from them,” police said.
