Help at Home has announced the acquisition of Central Florida home care.
The acquisition will expand its presence in Florida following the company's purchase of Caregiver Services Inc. Home Help is currently operating in all Florida counties.
In a statement, Florida community leader Glen Golemi said: “We currently serve 1.5 million hours of care each year to Floridians, and we look forward to providing home care services to more vulnerable populations across the state.”
Chicago-based In-Home Help offers home care services in more than 200 locations across 11 states, serving 70,000 clients.
The current home care of the Central Florida brand will move to the Help at Home brand. Home Care will now continue to operate Tampa and Clearwater locations.
Seniors supporting seniors expand their footprint in southern states
Seniors supporting seniors have announced the opening of franchises in Florida and Texas.
Local couples Lorenzo and Chiara Dickens own a new location in South Hillsborough County, Florida, serving Riverview, Apollo Beach, Gibsonn, Brandon, Ruskin, Wimauma and Barrico.
Kiara is a registered nurse and former operations director for the Medicare Advantage program. Lorenzo is a hospital-based pharmacist.
“Assisting seniors, seniors, give older workers a deliberate role in the community, providing opportunities to support older adults in meaningful ways,” Lorenzo Dickens said in a statement.
Chi Hong Shen has opened a San Antonio location serving the downtown, east and west areas of the city. Shen said she has 26 years of experience in engineering and pharmaceutical fields and learned the value of home care while caring for her father, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.
“I was fortunate that my father had the resources to receive quality care and that he gave me the opportunity to be present as a son during difficult times,” Shen said. “Now I want to create jobs for the elderly who want to give other families the same peace of mind and make a difference in the lives of others.”
Seniors who support seniors operate in 400 regions across the country, with over 200 franchise partners in 38 states. The company's business model involves hiring active seniors and caring for less active peers.
Caregivers expand in New Jersey
The home caregiver has opened its latest franchise location in West Essex, New Jersey.
Local entrepreneur Kiran Margand said he saw an opportunity to help seniors in his hometown. She focuses in particular on the South and East Asian communities of West Essex, and aims to provide home aides who speak the preferred language of their clients.
“There are very few home care agencies addressing this need, so I consider it a meaningful niche that can really make a difference,” Margand said in a statement.
Magland received his MBA from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and was recently appointed to the board of directors of the Montclair Inn, Montclair.
Home Caregivers are a national provider of non-medical, home care services for the elderly and individuals who need assistance with daily life tasks. The agency offers personal care, dating, professional care and virtual caregiver services in 13 states, with plans to open additional locations soon.
Griswold opens a franchise to Yoruba Linda
Franchise owners Rochelle and Ryan Zapanta have opened a Griswold location that provides home care services to residents of Yoruba Linda, California.
This marks the couple's first business venture, reporting that they chose the brand for their mission and values. They plan to expand to additional territory in the future.
Founded in 1982, Bluebell in Griswold, Pennsylvania offers companion care, home services, personal and rest care through 196 locations in 31 states. Some of the company's priorities are supporting veterans, including partnerships with the Patriot Angels.
