Fusion expands to home care through the acquisition of Comfort Keepers

Fusion has acquired the Comfort Keeper franchise, which serves Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska, and Council Bluffs, Iowa. This marks the company's first venture into the home care industry.

“It's exciting to add a powerful and impactful business like a comfort keeper to your fusion brand,” President and CEO Corey Watton said in a statement. “Expanding to businesses that promote independence, mental and physical health and the overall well-being of our seniors is an exciting venture for the entire team.”

Fusion has appointed Calli Smith, who previously served as Fusion's contract management manager.

Omaha-based fusion includes fusion medical staff and fusion workforce solutions. It aims to streamline the processes of medical travelers and facilities.

Amivie acquires Fosterbridge

Amivie has acquired Fosterbridge Inc., a home care provider based in Bridgeport, Ohio, to serve seniors in 23 counties in southeastern Ohio.

Fosterbridge offers skillless personal care, domestic chores and community integration services through its Passport Medicaid Waiver Program. The organization operates eight facilities throughout the region.

“Foster Bridge's dedication to dignity, independence and quality is perfectly in line with Ambi's mission to enable individuals to live well at home,” Ambi's CEO Michael Kotzen said in a statement. “This acquisition will improve our ability to deliver consistent, personalized care across Ohio, allowing more families to access the support they need close to their homes.

The acquisition broadens Ambie's presence in Ohio, further supporting plans to grow in the Midwest.

North Carolina-based Amivie's Research Triangle Park, formerly known as community-based care, is a group of providers that support clients in their homes with personalized support.

Team Select Home Care Get Marathon Nursing

Team Select Home Care, a provider of private duty nursing services in the home, has acquired Marathon Nursing.

“This is more than a name,” Fred Johnson, CEO of Team Select, said in a statement. “We will implement Team Select's national support and infrastructure while building on a powerful local foundation for marathons. Together, we are equipped to serve our families and empower our Massachusetts caregivers.”

The company says that marathon nurse leadership, staff and caregivers will now have access to additional systems, infrastructure and support and will remain in place. The agency will remain open until September as Team Select Home Care, previously known as Marathon Nursing. On October 1st, the organization will completely transfer the team's selection name.

Founded in 2008, Team Select offers private nursing and serves medically complex pediatric and adult patients in 15 states.

Headquartered in Braintree, Massachusetts, Marathon Nursing provides skilled home nursing care for medically complex adult patients.

MyPlace expands at the Second Pace Center

MyPlace has opened a second care center to serve the South Los Angeles area.

Located in Compton, California, the new 33,000-square-foot facility offers comprehensive medical, social and home-based services to seniors with complex needs.

MyPlace's comprehensive care program for the Elderly (PACE) model integrates healthcare, social services and home support to help seniors stay in the community for as long as possible. All services are offered low or free to participants age 55 and older who are eligible for both MEDI-CAL or MEDI-CAL and Medicare.

“We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve our South Los Angeles community, where too many seniors need it have not been using the care they deserve for a long time.”

MyPlace Health, an affiliate of Scan Group, headquartered in Long Beach, California, is an integrated care delivery organization specializing in serving vulnerable seniors who want to safely live in their homes and communities as much as possible.
