This week, President-elect Donald Trump announced Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as his nominee for Secretary of Health and Human Services.
The nomination came after President Trump promised to give Kennedy a “big health binge” during the campaign.
Kennedy held a number of controversial opinions about health, including claims that vaccines cause autism, fluoride contaminates public water supplies, and that AIDS is not caused by the HIV virus, which have been proven scientifically false. has advanced many claims made.
President Kennedy had long wanted to fundamentally reshape American health care policy. He may get his chance soon.
