Cleveland Clinic was named a top workplace by Fortune magazine on its “Best Workplaces in Healthcare 2024” list.

Cleveland Clinic ranked 37th out of 45 companies in the large employer category. The annual list includes companies that demonstrate positive employee experiences, defined by high levels of trust, respect, pride and other factors.

“We are honored to be recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in health care,” said Kelly Hancock, DNP, RN, executive vice president and chief care officer at Cleveland Clinic and Rich Family Chief Care Officer. “This recognition reflects the dedication of our caregivers and our commitment to supporting them through a variety of career development opportunities and comprehensive health benefits. We value our caregiver feedback, which helps us continue to improve and invest in our caregivers’ growth and health.”

Fortune partnered with global talent analytics firm Great Places to Work® to analyze feedback from more than 185,000 U.S. employees at Great Place to Work Certified™ companies in the healthcare industry.

According to Fortune, the list rankings are based on employee feedback, which is analyzed to determine the extent to which this experience is shared across the entire workforce. Great Places to Work measures differences in survey responses between demographic groups and roles within each organization to evaluate both the quality and consistency of employee experience. Statements are weighted according to their relevance in describing the most important aspects of an equitable workplace.
