Orteanion Florin, who worked at Wayside Nursing Home, also failed to manage the signed medication and was able to take steps to prevent residents from running out of prescription painkillers, according to NIRDISFIFERY COUNCURE (NMC) I stated.
After many accusations against him, the NMC published a report outlined that Florin's fitness to practice is “impaired.”
Between March 2, 2020 and April 16, 2020, Florin did not administer any of the medications he signed at least once, the report said.
Also, prior to the 2020 Easter Bank Holiday weekend, Florin outlined that he was unable to take steps to prevent residents from running out of prescription painkillers.
When the resident runs out of medication, the nurse said, “We were unable to contact our GP outside of business hours. We will contact our home manager and hand over to our colleagues that the medication is gone.
One charge outlined that on April 12, 2020, Florin “smacked the bottom” of his colleague.
The accusation states: “Your actions were sexually motivated in that they sought sexual satisfaction. Or, alternatively, the actions of the persons who were harassed that they were intended to cause pain or discomfort to the co-worker. Or was intended to be a threat.”
According to the report, the original NMC Fraud Panel stated, “Patients take risks by committing numerous clinical errors and acting inappropriately against their colleagues, and patients take the body as a result of Florin's misconduct. “We discovered there is a risk of harm.”
“And also suffered emotional harm. Florin's misconduct violated the basic tenets of the nursing profession, which disgraced his reputation.”
The suspension order was made earlier, but the NMC decided to place an impressive order this January.
The NMC report states: “The panel noted that Mr Florin showed no regrets about his misconduct and dishonored the nursing profession.
“Florin has further demonstrated insight into previous failures. The panel viewed that considerable evidence was needed to show that Florin no longer poses a risk to the public. The panel said. , in all circumstances, it has been decided. Further suspension periods will not serve useful purposes.
“The panel decided that Florin needed to take action to prevent future practice and concluded that the only sanction that would properly protect the public and serve the public interest was an astonishing order.” .
In response to the outcome, Wayside Nursing Home Director Rakesh Kotecha said: It harms others.”
