Seton Hall University's Catholic Studies Program and College of Nursing invite you to experience an immersive study abroad program focused on the intersection of faith and health care in Mexico. Led by Professor Maryellen Roberts, this three-credit program offers a unique exploration of Catholic Social Thought (CST) alongside Mexican medical practice. The travel period is from February 27th to March 8th, 2025.
This study tour provides a first-hand look at the role of faith in Mexico's healthcare system and public health efforts. The program offers a comprehensive itinerary that includes hospital visits, lectures on Mexico's public health system, and opportunities to connect with local students and communities. Additionally, explore the rich culture of Puebla and Mexico City, visiting important landmarks and institutions such as Hospital Mujer, Teotihuacan, and Guadalupe Cathedral.
This course includes credit for CAST 3891, CORE 3911, and NUTH 3891. The total cost of the trip is $3,100, which includes all air and ground transportation, hotel accommodations (double occupancy), breakfast and dinner, and all site entrance fees. Space is limited and $500 deposit required by November 15, 2024.
