Marquette College of Nursing has received healthcare simulation standard approval from the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation, a leading healthcare simulation professional association.

The market is one of only 40 institutions worldwide to be approved by INACSL.

INACSL recognized Mr. Marquette for excellence in the organization's four fundamental standards: prebriefing, debriefing, facilitation, and professional integrity. This approval is valid for three years.

“Our simulations are based on evidence-based methods to ensure students are best prepared for practice,” says simulation director Anne Costello. “We are grateful for this recognition of INACSL and look forward to maintaining the high standards for which our university is known.”

The new Ascension Center for Clinical Simulation and Learning is located on the third floor of David A. Straz Jr. Hall. Spaces include four open-space clinical skills labs, six simulation rooms, and an outpatient exam room. Students and instructors began using the space in August.
