The acquisition will allow HHAeXchange to expand into new states and gain access to a talent pool with extensive home care technology experience.

NEW YORK, July 08, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — HHAeXchange, a leader in home care management solutions for providers, managed care organizations (MCOs), state Medicaid agencies, and financial intermediaries, today announced the acquisition of Generations Homecare System. Generations offers an all-in-one home care agency management software solution that provides providers with the capabilities to connect care teams, simplify day-to-day operations, and stay compliant. The acquisition brings together two companies that share a common vision and values aimed at driving innovation and excellence in home care.

The home care industry is poised for significant growth, with demand for personal care assistants expected to increase by 43% between 2020 and 2035. Industry players need software platforms that can rapidly evolve to meet the requirements and growing needs of providers, caregivers, and payers, especially when it comes to compliance and ease of use.

“HHAeXchange is focused on building better products to support a dynamic industry and is excited to join forces with the Generations team, known for their expertise in home care technology,” said Paul Joyner, CEO of HHAeXchange. “This deeper talent pool and expanded geographic reach brings us one step closer to achieving our mission of empowering caregivers, families, providers and payers to deliver the best care in the home.”

Following HHAeXchange’s recent acquisition of Cashé Software, a leading Minnesota-based home care operations and billing solutions company, the acquisition of Generations will enable HHAeXchange to further expand into new states and add talent with home care technology expertise, ultimately increasing value for clients, partners and all other businesses across the industry.

“At HHAeXchange, we are dedicated to revolutionizing home care by empowering providers with the best tools and solutions. Our recent acquisitions of Cashé Software and Generations Homecare System mark important milestones in this effort and underscore our commitment to elevating the care experience for caregivers and members across the country. With this newly enhanced combination of expertise and values, we are strategically positioned to drive meaningful change in the industry and make a lasting impact on the lives of the people we serve,” added Joyner.

Generations has been dedicated to creating high-quality home care software services for the growing home care industry since its founding in 2002. Driven by its commitment to delivering superior technology, Generations is used by over 700 customers across 48 states.

The story continues

Lisa Ferden, co-founder and COO of Generations, and Lance Ferden, co-founder and CTO of Generations, will act in advisory roles over the coming months to ensure a smooth transition.

“Generations is built on a foundation of delivering great technology, and we’ve always put ease of use and intuitiveness at the forefront of our homecare software services,” said Lisa Ferden, COO and co-founder of Generations Homecare System. “But what has always set us apart is our commitment to delivering an unparalleled customer experience. From our onboarding process to our help systems to our customer success team, we take great care to deliver the best in every customer interaction. We’re excited to combine this passion with the strengths of HHAeXchange to drive the homecare industry forward.”
