Cardi B has released a home movie. Cardi, who announced on September 7 that she had welcomed her third child with her estranged husband Offset, revealed the baby in a one-minute TikTok video on Sunday (September 15).
Filmed in Cardi’s hospital room, the video, titled “Baby Girl” (complete with three pink flower emojis), begins with soft piano music as a monitor shows the baby, who has yet to be named, weighing 5 pounds, 9 ounces. Then, as the newborn baby cries and is placed on her mother’s chest, a nurse tells Cardi, “You did a great job. I’m so proud of you. She’s so perfect.”
Up next was Offset, who took the opportunity to bond with her daughter by cuddling her bare chest before Cardi introduced the newest member of the family to her other two kids via FaceTime chat. “Look at my sister!” Cardi said, as her older sister, Kulture, 6, greeted their mom and asked if the baby was asleep while her younger brother, Wave, 3, hung out in the background.
“Yeah, she’s little,” Cardi replies. A series of images then show Cardi nursing and remaining quiet while a nurse takes the baby’s measurements and takes a footprint for the birth certificate. Wave and Kulture appear toward the end of the clip, with Kulture cradleing her new sister in her lap while her dad entertains Wave.
The video ends with Cardi placing a gentle, loving kiss on her daughter’s forehead and gazing intently at her newborn’s face.
Last week, Cardi announced she was expecting her third baby with Offset, sharing a photo from the hospital and calling her “the sweetest baby.” Cardi announced she was pregnant with her third baby in August, the same day Billboard confirmed she had filed for divorce from the rapper for a second time. With the birth, Offset becomes a father of six, joining his older children Jordan, 14, and Kody and Kalea, both 9, from another relationship.
