I-Vt. Sen. Bernie Sanders, of the city hall conversation with CNN's Anderson Cooper, which aired live on the network on Wednesday, called out CNN and “corporate media” and accused the media of not talking about medical issues.

Sanders claimed that the American health care system was broken, so Cooper tried to continue the conversation by asking questions from the audience. Sanders pushed back and insisted he wanted to talk about health care.

“I know you're going to do that, but I want to talk,” Sanders said. “Sometimes, these issues of healthcare, income and wealth inequality are not spoken in the corporate media, and it's when we spoke about them. That's why people are losing faith in the American system?

“When we run around the country with Alexandria (Ocasio-Cortez) and others, what we are trying to do is demand that working class people rise up and fight for their rights.

Bernie Sanders says Democrats have bigger issues than Schumer, with the party saying “there are no grassroots support.”

He then told the audience he had to talk to CNN and their council representatives to talk about those issues.

Cooper stepped in and said they were “literally talking about it now.”

“Yeah, but I'm forcing you to talk about it, Anderson!” Sanders shot back.

Sanders also targeted President Donald Trump during the city hall, calling on Americans to “wake up.”

“This is whether we are a free society,” he said. “Or are we all succumbing to our new king, President Trump? That's not the kind of nation we want to be.”

The senator also spoke about his caucus.

“Inside the Democratic Caucus in the House and Senate, you have different politically persuasive people,” he told CNN. “From day one, there are some of us who understand that we have to stand up and bring together the people of America and fight this terrible agenda.
