Bankes brings 30 years of global experience in product management, marketing, sales, regulation, healthcare, operations and manufacturing. She joined Alcon's GE Healthcare and most recently served as Senior Vice President and President of Global Franchises. In this role, she oversaw product development, portfolio management and product commercialization across the world, visual care, and eye health businesses. Before the Arcon, Banks was at Boston Scientific and Merck.
Tom Westrick, who retired from GE Healthcare after more than 20 years, will remain at the company until May 31, 2025, helping Jeannette move into the role and helping to ensure smooth changes for her colleagues and clients. Janet is based in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
