As part of this continuing commitment, we will introduce Dr. Karen Wang as the new medical director and Dr. Alison (Arie) Garcia as the new associate medical director. Since participating in Student Health on January 23, 2025, they have brought valuable experiences from the Tri-County area and have shared their commitment to student well-being.
Dr. Wang He is a board certified alumni/Gyn, and before coming to UCSC Clinic lead, co-director of Dignity OB/Gyn and Dominican OB/Gyn Hospitalist Program.
Dr. Garcia He is a board-certified pediatrician and most recently served as a primary care physician for Laurel Pediatrics and both of the Children's Hospital Physicians at Natividad Hospital in Salinas.
Their leadership strengthens your ability to support you in all aspects of your healthcare journey. Welcome Dr. Wang and Dr. Garcia to UCSC. We look forward to the positive impact they have on our community.
