Hinsdale, Illinois – A woman arrested last month for charging a battery told police that an employee at a Hinsdale nursing home threatened her mother, police said.

Patch obtained a police report through a request for public records.

Police were called to Pearls at Hinsdale Nursing Home, 600 W. Ogden Ave. on the morning of February 26th, according to the report.

The 48-year-old Melrose Park woman told officials that her mother, a nursing home resident, called her and that a certified nursing assistant had threatened her.

The woman told police that the assistant first attacked her and injured her on the right side of her nose, police told her. The woman also said she was hit in the chin.

But at one point, the woman admitted that she might have hit her assistant first and said she might have felt threatened, police said.

She also said they “stroke for a blow” and “no one made each other better.” She added that she is holding an employee's wig.

Police said an independent witness reported that the 48-year-old began the fight by plunging her assistant into her forehead and punching her.

The suspect was charged with misdemeanor battery.
