“The healthcare industry is a very good fit for Germany,” CEO Bernd Montag said in a speech to shareholders. “It's an industry driven by knowledge and science, not particularly energy intensive, and is highly relevant worldwide, primarily immune to periodic effects and trust-based.” He added that the healthcare industry has made a significant contribution to the economy as a whole. The annual shareholders meeting approved all agenda items for the majority. In particular, shareholders have approved the Trustees and Supervisory Board proposal to pay a dividend of 0.95 euros per share supporting dividends for the successful fiscal year 2024. This corresponds to a payment rate of 54% of net profit.

“In spite of the challenging economic environment, Siemens Health Naires has once again achieved an ambitious target,” Chairman Ralph Thomas recalls 2024, with the annual shareholders meeting being the majority of the managing committees and supervisory committee members. The meeting has been approved. . “I would particularly like to highlight the transformation of the diagnostics business and the continuous successful integration of Varian,” Thomas said. Since combining with Siemens Healthineers in 2021, Varian has grown at a double-digit average annual rate.

The Annual General Meeting of Shareholders has also approved further development of a compensation system for members of the Trustees. In addition to current market development, special requirements for the competitiveness of global companies have been taken into consideration. Furthermore, the sustainability aspects within variable rewards have been further strengthened.

The public portion of the virtual annual shareholders meeting was followed by 756 people at its peak. 114 questions were asked live by shareholders or their representatives via video links and answered by the Management and Supervisory Committee.
