1. Healthcare workers have more time to focus on patient care
AI will improve patient outcomes and address physician shortages. AMA’s three types of clinical care AI (assisted, augmented, and autonomous) will detect clinically relevant data for physician analysis, quantify it, provide feedback for clinical decision making, and inform diagnostic conclusions and management options. One of the most significant impacts that AI will have on the healthcare industry is the personalization of patient care using predictive analytics. 13. Gain a deeper understanding of market trends
AI is a tool, and like many tools, it can help us become more efficient (e.g., scheduling), analyze data (e.g., results over time), and understand market trends (e.g., access to care in certain areas). That said, I don’t see AI taking away the relationship aspect of healthcare, because patients want things from their doctors that AI can’t provide, like empathy, reassurance, and support. – Christine S. For us, AI has dramatically changed the speed at which we provide access to speech therapy. Using machine learning technology, we have been able to reduce the time to start treatment. We would like to introduce this model to other similar companies, but it has not been fully understood by those that have not kept up with the technology.
